Dear Scouter,

You are invited to attend the highest leadership training available in the Boy Scouts of America. Wood Badge for the 21st Century is intended for all leaders in Scouting – Cub Scout, Boy Scout, Varsity Scout, and Venturing leaders, as well as council and district leaders. The focus is on leadership skills, not outdoor skills.

The Wood Badge course is an internationally recognized leadership development course, with leadership skills taught that are equal to or better than any current leadership training in industry today. This leadership training is focused to demonstrate the aims and methods of Scouting through the presentation of leadership skills, organizational tools, and a variety of activities based on the best of Scouting traditions and the latest in team development theory. In addition, participants will enjoy the fellowship of sharing this experience with other volunteer and professional Scouters while having a great deal of just plain fun. Baden-Powell did tell us that Scouting is “A Game with a Purpose.”

Because of your commitment to Scouting this upcoming Wood Badge course will give you the opportunity to:
